Yellow fork terminals are for 12-10 AWG wire and come in a variety of insulation materials. Non-insulated terminals are the most economical. They are used where special performance or installation characteristics are not needed. Nylon terminals are built to offer high-performance quality. Nylon insulated terminals also protect against stress as well as high vibration.
Vinyl terminals are used where an insulated barrel is necessary. Vinyl terminals feature an insulation sleeve of color-coded PVC that is permanently tapered to the barrel. Heat shrink terminals protect against the elements in the most challenging of environments. This creates the best moisture protection available. Heat shrink terminals have a heat activated adhesive liner. The liner provides a rugged, environmentally sealed connection for wires between 12-10 AWG.
