Power Limited Tray Cables are used in a multitude of applications. As the name suggests, these cables are commonly utilized in power-limited circuits. They are used in burglar alarms, intercom circuits, and even in computer interconnections. What are tray cables? The idea behind tray cables comes from the concept of protecting smaller cables in an industrial environment. You see, smaller cables were placed beneath larger ones and they couldn't handle the stress or the rough environment. This lead to failures in smaller communication cables and power cables. So to resolve this issue trays were installed, usually along the ceiling, that carry the smaller, lighter cables.

The term Tray Cable means that the cables are installed in cable trays. The design of these cables meets the specifications of the NEC (National Electric Code). This is why they are used in factories, wind turbines, as well as control systems. Selecting the correct type of cable for your job isn't always an easy task.
