What is a marine rocker switch panel?
A marine rocker switch panel, or panel blank as we'll call it, are custom sized manufactured panels that are ready to be loaded with breakers, marine rocker switches, and more. Pacer currently offers three different styles of panels blanks, each designed to serve a particular function, and each available in a range of sizes. We offer panels sized just for blank toggle switches, sized just for breakers, or sized to hold both. These panels are also available in either 5052 H32 marine grade aluminum or high-quality Lexan although the material is determined by the style you select. Additionally, we carry mounting panels so that you have the option to create your own panel as needed. The point of offering this many types of panels is choice. We want you to have as many choices as possible so that you can find the solution that fits your needs. Creating your own custom rocker switch panel is an effective way to get the look and functionality you want. All our panel blanks are made to high standards and are visually inspected before they leave our facility.

Where are mounting panels and panel blanks implemented?
Mounting panels and panel blanks offer convenient solutions
Mounting panels and panel blanks are implemented in applications that call for customized panels to be installed. This is why we offer such a range of panel types so that you can find the exact type you need. These panel blanks are ideal for new installations as well as when replacing parts. Say you have damaged panels or scratched panels. Then these are the perfect solution for you. All you will need are the proper breakers and switches. Now that we have covered where these products are implemented, let us look at what types we offer.
Types of panel blanks do we offer?
As we will get further down, there are three main styles of panels blanks that we carry. Each of these styles is meant for a specific purpose. We offer Contura switch and breaker panel blanks, contura switch panel blanks, and a-frame panel blanks.
What are Contura Switch & Breaker panel blanks?
When you have to reset a breaker, it is convenient to have that breaker directly next to the switch it is connected to. That’s the idea behind Contura switch and breaker panel blanks. They make reestablishing power an easy process. As the name implies, this type of custom rocker switch panel has precut holes perfectly sized for blank toggle switches and push-to-reset breakers. These panels make the most use out of the least amount of space. The holes are sized so perfectly that installing blank rocker switches is a breeze. All our Contura switch and breaker panel blanks are made from 5052 H32 marine grade aluminum.
We chose this specific type of metal as it offers high durability and it is lightweight. We know that in a tough environment, every little bit counts and that’s why we made sure to only use the highest quality materials in the construction of our panels. As if these panels aren’t tough enough already, each one is powder coated on both sides after being cut to guarantee an extra layer of protection. We took every step to make sure that installing marine rocker switches was as easy a process as possible. We offer this type of custom rocker switch panel in both textured black or gloss white powder coat in order to match your specific needs.

What are A-Frame panel blanks?
As the name implies, these panel blanks are designed to hold A-frame breakers. Each of our A-frame panel blanks is made from durable 3/16” black Lexan meaning that not only are they durable, but they are ideal for handling harsh industrial environments. Each A-frame panel blank is built so that they hold standard A-frame breakers perfectly. We engineered these panels so that each one has the breaker openings spaced for use with breaker bus bars. Our goal is to make installation a simplified process. During the engineering of these panels, we kept that thought in mind. We know that people do not just want products, they want solutions, which is why we took the extra step of pre-drilling the mounting screw holes for you.

What other panel options are available?
Aside from the types of custom rocker switch panels that we offer, we also carry contura mounting panels and switch covers in a variety of styles and print options. Sometimes rather than a manufactured marine rocker switch panel, you may just need new switch covers or a simple way to create a mounting panel. Either way, these are the solutions to save you time and money.
What are Contura mounting panels?
This style of mounting panel is not really a panel blank in the sense mentioned above, but they are a useful tool when constructing a panel that will use marine rocker switches. Making your own marine rocker switch panel lets you add as many blank toggle switches that you want. Then you simply add the switch covers you need. Let’s say you want to save space and use a smaller panel that you may want to extend later on. That’s where you would use Contura mounting panels. These pieces snap together to create a panel of the desired length. They can be separated again if you need it to be smaller. This way, you can have exactly however many slots to hold blank toggle switches that you need. Want to have a longer panel? Add another piece. Want the panel to be shorter? Remove a piece. It really is that easy. This way you can quickly and easily create a panel that meets your specific needs, all with the peace of mind of knowing it is built to withstand the harsh outdoor conditions.
