What does the cover plate do?
The cover plate is designed to make the identification of the multi-step power transfer switch positions easier to recognize. With three labels, Shore 1 / Shore 1 & 2 / Generator, adjusting the switch to the proper setting becomes a simple task. The cover plate has a silver body with black text and is designed for use with the EPTS-MS-65A. The width of the cover plate is 2.52” whereas the width of the multi-step power transfer switch is just 2.28” ensuring proper coverage.
How would I use the switch guard?
The switch guard is for use with bat toggle switches and is designed to prevent the accidental activation of one of the switches. The red body of the switch guard is spring-loaded and must be opened and held before the switch it is covering can be flipped. As simple as it sounds, this switch guard offers a very potent level of protection. It can save you from accidentally activating a piece of equipment that would conflict with another piece of operating equipment and could prevent long-term damage.
Are these switch accessories useful on all boats?
