8 AWG Triplex boat cable is used for AC circuits in boats and recreational vehicles. Pacer manufactures 8 AWG triplex boat cable in Sarasota FL, USA for easy installation and longevity. It starts with finely stranded tinned copper conductors that are used to prevent corrosion. At the same time, these conductors allow the cable to be flexible. Flexibility is essential when working in enclosed marine spaces.
Another important factor of 8 AWG triplex boat cable is the insulation. The proprietary PVC insulation is designed to provide protection from fatigue and moisture. This is achieved during the extrusion process. While extruding, Pacer fills the voids between the conductors. This eliminates the possibility of moisture or air accumulating between the wires.
As an added bonus, talcum powder is coated on the wires. This is done to allow for the easy removal of the jacket during installation. Perfect for use with multiconductor cable connectors.
