Unshielded multiconductor 16 AWG cables are used in a variety of applications. Often, you will find them in things like consumer electronics and industrial control equipment. They are commonly used in advanced signal transmissions in controlled environments. Basically, that means multiconductor cables are used for controlling equipment. By using unshielded multiconductor 16 AWG cable you have the option of selecting between 2 to 12 conductors.
Unshielded multiconductor 16 AWG cables are manufactured from finely stranded tinned copper conductors. These conductors are then insulated with color coded PVC. The now insulated conductors are then covered with a durable yet flexible grey PVC jacket. This keeps the conductors together while offering greater protection. These cables are built to meet the requirements for UL, CSA and NEC. Temperatures and voltages are not always the exact same from cable to cable.
